Lucy Letby was a neonatal nurse in Chester, England, who became the most prolific child serial killer in modern British history. Between 2015 and 2016, she was found guilty of murdering seven infants and attempting to kill six others at the Countess of Chester Hospital. The deaths often involved sudden, unexplained collapses of otherwise stable babies, many occurring while Letby was on shift. Investigators later determined she injected air into babies’ bloodstreams, poisoned them with insulin, or deliberately overfed them with milk.
