In downtown Phnom Penh stands a rundown apartment block known as The White Building. Built in the 60's to house low-income civil servants, it has a colourful history and is currently home for more than two and a half thousand residents. While its dilapidated appearance and reputation for drugs and prostitution may deter some, resident and artist Vuth Lyno -- who this week opened an exhibition of young students' work to the public -- feels the community in the White Building has many redeeming qualities.
