Extreme cold warnings of -25 degrees came with sunshine… until the blizzard and snow squalls blew in and the whiteout began. This kind of weather is only for those who really want to get the shot. And/or for some crazy reason, love winter. That’s me! If it’s not for you, I get it… so join me from the comfort of your home as I trek through knee deep snow and walk out onto a frozen lake. nnToday I take you to Torrence Barrens in Muskoka where I’d previously photographed the Northern Lights, and talk about settings and composition in below freezing temperatures. By the time we walk out onto Lake Joseph, the wind and snow nearly completely obliterate the view. Is there still a possibility of an image? nnCamera Gear:nSony a99ii - cameranSony Zeiss 16-35 f2.8 SSM ZAnSony Zeiss 24-70 f2.8 SSM ZAnSony 70-300 f4.5-5.6 SSM GnNiSi V5 Pro square filter systemn100x150mm 3 stop GND filternCircular Polarizing FilternManfrotto 190go! - tripodnnVideo Gear:nCanon M50 - vlogging cameranZhiyun Crane v2 - gimbalnRode VideoMicro - microphonennMusic:nWay Beyond Seeking by Johan Glössner feat.
