When you think of Photoshop Frequency Separation you don’t immediately connect it to Landscape Photography. This is a shame because it can be a very effective way to create landscape photos with drama and impact. This video tutorial explains how.nnIn this video, I explain what Frequency Separation is and how you can use it in Photoshop. Importantly, rather than focussing on fashion and beauty retouching, we look at how to apply it to Landscape Photography. nnAfter explaining what Frequency Separation is, we look at two methods of applying it in Photoshop. First, we use it to create amazing sharpness in a sunrise landscape photo. Then we use it to apply a dramatic Orton effect to the same image.
