So after reading Plastic, I had to check out Plastic: Death & Dolls, and this one goes even deeper into how messed up this story really is.
If you’ve seen my video on the original Plastic comic, you already know how insane Edwyn Stoffgruppen is. But this prequel is different.
You already know what he becomes… this shows how it happens.
Death & Dolls is basically the origin story. It follows Edwyn when he’s younger and shows the people around him, his upbringing, and the moments that slowly shape him into the person we see later in Plastic.
And honestly, that’s what makes this one more uncomfortable.
Because instead of just watching a killer do what he does… you’re watching how someone ends up like that in the first place.
It’s still a dark, disturbing horror comic from Image Comics, but this one leans way more into the psychological side of things. It’s less about shock and more about understanding how everything spirals into something much worse.
If you liked Plastic, or you’re into dark origin stories, horror comics, and psychological crime stories, Plastic: Death & Dolls is definitely worth checking out.
