Disney built custom immersive environments specifically for spatial computing, and they completely change how watching movies feel. In this video, I walk through the Disney+ app on Apple Vision Pro so you can see what the experience is like and decide if it’s something you’d want for your own movie nights.
I start with the interface and then explore every custom environment Disney built for Vision Pro. I also walk through the full 3D movie library that’s available in the app so you can see the current selection. Movies like Avatar: The Way of Water, Avengers: Endgame, Tron Ares, and more.
The Disney immersive environments include:
- The classic Disney+ Theater (inspired by the iconic El Capitan)
- The creepy containment room from Alien: Earth
- Pixar’s Scare Floor from Monsters, Inc.
- Marvel’s Avengers Tower penthouse overlooking the city
- Star Wars’ Tatooine with that epic binary sunset
- National Geographic’s stunning Iceland
And at the end I show what it actually looks like when you’re watching inside those environments with the lights dimmed down low.
