Louis Winthorpe III (Dan Aykroyd) is an upper-class commodities broker. Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) is a street hustler. Without knowing, both become subjects of a wicked 'scientific' experiment about the nature vs. nurture debate. Winthorpe’s bosses make a bet and manipulate situations to see what happens if Ray’s and Winthorpe’s very socially different lives are switched.
