Bird photography isn't something I do every day. Mostly because I don't really have the patience for this type of photography. But here in Lambert's Bay, South Africa there's a place called Bird Island National Reserve and I couldn't resist the urge to go somewhere with a name like that.nSo, we woke up and did a little bird photography at the reserve. It was such a cool place, and it was absolutely covered with birds. I don't think I've seen something like it in South Africa before. Jodie and I sat there for ages just snapping away photos of the beautiful mess of birds.nAfter our bird photography session, we headed north towards Namibia. On the way, we decided to camp at Goegap Nature Reserve which is home to quite a bit of wildlife. But, our series of misadventures on this trip continued as we broke an important part of our tent and couldn't repair it. Luckily, the park warden let us camp out in a bush hut.nIn the park, there were some wildlife photography opportunities. But, most of them were simply way too far from the van to get great photos. So, I'll have to settle with the bird photography of the morning.
