Johnny Depp testifies in defamation trial against Amber Heard | April 19

Johnny Depp testified in his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard on Tuesday. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed where the actress referred to herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse." The article doesn't mention Depp by name, but the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor says it clearly refers to allegations Heard made in other forums that she suffered physical abuse at his hands. Depp denies the accusations. Heard has filed a countersuit against Depp that accuses his lawyers of defaming her at his direction.
