As the third COVID vaccination drive is underway in India for the people of 18-44 age group, there are many who are losing out in the vaccination drive as they don't have smartphones, internet access and many don't even know the procedure to book a slot. As the registration and booking for vaccination requires prior appointments, several citizens who do not have smartphones are struggling to book slots and vaccination seems inaccessible to mostly who are illiterate, poor and reside particularly in rural areas and slums. Mojo Story's Rishikesh reports from a slum in Delhi to know how many people living there have been vaccinated and are in capacity to even book a slot for themselves to get vaccinated. A slot of people whom we talked to were afraid of getting vaccinated which points to the lack of awareness in the area. Several of them also also suggested that instead of being completely online, there should be a door-to-door vaccination drive or the vaccination should be done in camps in an offline mode to make it more accessible. #Delhi #CovidVaccine #COVID19 #SecondWave Support Independent Journalism.
