Today, we’re going to be talking about the importance of Taylor Swift’s re-recordings. Why do these matter and why is it so significant Taylor is doing this?
Some people still have a lot of questions about why it even matters that Taylor Swift is re-recording the first five of her nine studio records. I promise you, it is not about charts nor is it about notoriety.
I think something like this can be very easily misconstrued. Of course we understand the situation with her masters, which will be briefly overviewed for those who may need a refresher.
If anything, these re-records serve as a symbolic movement of ownership and power on Taylor’s part. So let’s dive in, so we can understand why it matters that Taylor is doing this for herself.
