Today (15.08.2018) my car failed the MOT on a few things, one of them being:nn'headlight beam too low' on BOTH sides.nnThe MOT station quoted me to fix the problem (and the others). The beams were fine at last MOT and I have not had any work done on the car that might put either or BOTH headlights beams out of alignment.nnMy dashcam was running during the MOT. Can anyone help me understand what was happening in the video? The activity centres around the sights of the headlamp beam adjustment screws which are normally adjusted with an Allen/hex key tool.nnThe technician does appear to be adjusting the headlamp beam direction, which is odd since it then failed on this check.nnI did ask reception what could be the cause of the headlamps going out of alignment and was told it could be driving over a pothole 'or anything'.nnI am going to take it up with the company and potentially raise it with DVSA/VOSA if I cannot get to the bottom of it. I am not ruling out foul play.
