“Ukraine Fires 40 Rockets At Donetsk” l “Putin Will Have Another Go At Kyiv” l Russia Shells Kherson

Russia says Ukraine has hit the centre of the occupied city of Donetsk with the “biggest wave of strikes since 2014”. The Moscow-appointed mayor of Donetsk city alleges "40 rockets from BM-21 Grad MLRS were fired at civilians" by Ukraine. Russia’s DPR head claims fierce fighting is underway on the outskirts of Bakhmut in Donetsk.
Meanwhile, Zelensky told the Economist that the sooner Putin ends the war, the longer he will live. Ukrainian Intelligence claims Russia is fortifying the coastline in occupied Crimea. Russia’s Foreign Ministry said Ukrainian shelling is being carried out on direct orders from Kyiv "with the approval of the US”.
