The newest and fastest WiFi is 802.11ad, but is it actually practical?nMore Tech Discussions www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFr3c472Vstwe0Yk43UDnpqib5ReTwaJ-nSubscribe Here www.youtube.com/user/ThioJoe?sub_confirmation=1nnThe newest wireless routers are starting to implement a WiFI standard called 802.11ad, which is way faster than N WiFi and even AC WiFi. The AD WiFi uses an incredible 60 GHz frequency, and speeds up to a whopping 4.6 Gbps. However, there are significant drawbacks, such as WiFi range, because that high of a frequency cannot even pass through walls! So, you would have to put any 802.11ad router out in the open, or else the WiFi signal would not propagate. Though I do think there are several uses for this WiFi standard, such as wireless Virtual Reality, which could take advantage of the huge bandwidth and speed of 802.11ad WiFi.nnMy Twitter twitter.com/ThioJoen
